Crease No More!

Vibrant, long lasting, beautiful color.

Brown Eyed Girl

What am I describing? Two products: MAC Paint Pots and MAC Pro Longwear Eye Shadows. In the past, I've used an eye shadow base but never really experimented with Paint Pots. However, I recently discovered how simply amazing they are and the gorgeous colors MAC offers!
I have many regular MAC eye shadows that come in satin, matte, frost, etc but my NEW  favorites are the Pro Longwear Eye Shadows. Once again, they have 16 vibrant colors to choose from that claim to stay on for 8 hours. I tested this theory out today when I went to work at 8am and it lasted the entire day!! Hollaaaa!! Next, I will have to test them when I go out for a night of dancing!  Check out the  pics of the products below as well as my short and sweet overview and how to use them to get your ideal look!

MAC Pro Longwear Eye Shadow in Pink Frontier
 ♥ Short and Sweet
Dusty Rose color with a golden undertone
♥ How To Use It ♥
Perfect for all over the eyelid or as an eyebrow highlight
Can be combined and/or put over a paint pot, very versatile

MAC Pro Longwear Eye Shadow in Make Your Mark
♥ Short and Sweet
Gorgeous brown color with small golden flecks, suitable for ALL eye colors
♥ How To Use It ♥
For brown eyed gals like myself or whomever, this color would be perfect for a brown smokey eye (my favorite makeup look if I might add, very Kim Kardashian glam)
1. Start with a copper or gold shadow and pat all over the lid using (Sigma E55 brush)
2. Pair it with Make Your Mark in the crease using (Sigma E25 crease brush)
2. Highlight under the eyebrow with a frost or pearl shadow
Line lower and/or upper lashline with black or brown eyeliner
Set eyeliner with Make Your Mark with an angled brush (Sigma E65), smudge a little if you'd like...not too much though, don't want to look like a zombie or that you've just woken up. Remember! Think Kim K style!

MAC Paint Pot in Rubenesque
♥ Short and Sweet
Golden, peachy, copper color. Creamy, smooth, long lasting
♥ How To Use It ♥
Can be used alone all over lid, or as a base and can layer additional eyeshadows over it
Add to inner corner of eyes to make them sparkle!

MAC Paint Pot in Constructivist
♥ Short and Sweet
Bronzed medium brown, smooth, creamy
♥ How To Use It ♥
As a base or all over the lid for a smokey look. I love to line my upper and lower lashlines with this!

Feeling Clutchy?

Hey dolls hey! One of my favorite past times is to shop and my mother is the queen of finding deals, so I guess that makes me the princess? Who knows! Anywho, check out these adorable items I found from stores that are having mega sales!

The first two steals are from Express that I got for only $7.99; yes people no typing error! They were originally priced at $19.90, then clearanced down to $9.99.  Lucky for me, there was an additional 20% off clearanced items! These bags are perfect for everyday use or for a night out on the town. I've tested their storage capabilities and I was able to fit my blackberry, camera, ID, cash, credit card, as well as a small MAC lipgloss; talk about getting your money's worth! These clutches are stylish and make a great addition to any outfit.

Here's a closer view: I bought the gold one for myself and the purple one for a relative as a gift!

I also went back a week later to Express in search for black sequin shorts for an event and instead found this red, patent leather wallet/clutch. Of course it was on sale and I snagged it for a little over $11! I paired it with a black and white buttoned down sheer top from H&M, black pleather leggings, black heels, and red lips, so it was a perfect pop of color to match my lips amongst the achromatic colors.

Hope you enjoyed my finds, would love to hear about yours!

New Year, New blog!

Greetings blogging world! I am so excited to be starting my first blog, which was one of my New Year's resolutions for 2012. "Lifestyle decor, Get Gorg, and more" is the concept behind my blog and some of you may be wondering what I mean by lifestyle decor. It incorporates everything I love and enjoy in life: family, friends, fashion, health and wellness, interior decorating, makeup, shopping, and anything else that makes a doll feel fab! I believe that by "decorating" all aspects of your life to the fullest with things you enjoy will help you unleash the diva inside so you can be the best YOU you can be. A wise person once told me, "it's the littlest things that make the biggest difference," so don't underestimate what small changes can do.  The beginning of a new year is a prime time to set new goals and make changes to get this year off to a fabulous start. I can't wait to share some tips and learn from you as well. Lets make it a great year dolls!
